Please welcome Dr. David J. DiMarco to our practice! Dr. DiMarco has joined Eye Physicians and Surgeons as its newest Optometrist. A native of Pittsburgh, and a graduate of Sewickley Academy High School, Dr. DiMarco earned his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He did his undergrad at Washington & Jefferson College, receiving a B.A. in Cellular/Molecular Biology. Before moving back to Pittsburgh, Dr. DiMarco practiced full-scope Optometry for 10 years in a private practice setting in Vermont.
Dr. DiMarco has specialty training in pediatrics (strabismus, amblyopia and vision therapy), having completed the Vision Therapy/Pediatric Advanced Track Module at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He has achieved certification in fitting specialty contact lenses and has a special interest in diagnosing and treating Glaucoma, Dry Eye Syndrome and Macular Degeneration. He is a proud member of the American Optometric Association and served as the Continuing Education Coordinator for the Vermont Optometric Association.
Dr. DiMarco, with his wife and three sons, resides in the South Hills. He is an avid baseball fan and is thrilled to be back home rooting for the Pirates! In his free time, Dr. DiMarco enjoys soccer, hiking and running marathons, having competed in China and Kenya.
